Customs duty is the amount of tax levied by a country on goods entering and leaving its borders according to the law. Buying goods abroad through the Internet and shipping them back to Taiwan is considered an import act, and customs duties must be paid to the customs in accordance with Taiwan's tax laws.
※ Customs is affiliated to the Ministry of Finance, and is in charge of tax collection, smuggling investigation, bonded, trade statistics, and accepts the entrustment of other agencies to collect taxes and fees and implement controls.
